The role

Homebase is looking for you to join us as a Commercial Analyst to provide analytic support to the Senior Commercial Analyst in regular day to day reporting, adhoc analysis and working on the stock reduction workstream.

Responsible for working with the commercial teams, developing more effective reports and analysis to help drive better decision making around stock, availability, replenishment and more.
Produce regular basket level analysis to help drive some of the core business values. Through basket analysis you will add insight around multi buys, effectiveness of vouchers and customers attachment behaviour
Working on the stock reduction work stream by providing analysis for clear decision making to improve the quality of stock in addition to developing better principles for the future when it comes to Homebase stock in the business.

Please note, this role is a junior level position and provides the opportunity to study for a CIMA/ACCA.

What will I be doing?

As a Commercial Analyst, you’ll need to:

Set up and maintain automated processes
Monitor and audit data quality
Track key performance indicators and communicate findings
Maintain and improve data dashboards
Prepare reports using business reporting tools
Analyse large datasets, presenting findings in simple successful outputs to management

Preferable degree in a relevant discipline (economics, mathematics, business studies, statistics)
Beginner/Intermediate Excel knowledge
