Retail Trading Manager (Decor and Home)

The role

To proactively manage store events, range management, visual planning and the day to day trading agenda across the Decorator & Home categories, liaising with all key SSC departments to ensure accuracy of planning and store execution. This includes seasonal mat (Autumn & Jan event), ensuring the relevant checks, templates, communications and processes are in place to deliver excellent execution and right first time, with the right products in the right place at the right time

What will I be doing?

First operations contact for category (Dec & Home) related projects, responsible for delivering store related task in appropriate formats and ensuring the Senior field team are updated and kept informed
Supports and contributes to the communication and service agenda, ensuring all task and projects are made easy for store teams to implement & fit for purpose
Instigates and drives ad-hoc proactive retail driven projects as required, the outputs of which promote sales, reduce costs, improve service levels or business efficiency
Represent retail at SSC meetings e.g. ATC, range review, stock related, distribution related, H&S and all others relevant to My role that ultimately have an impact on stores and the customer, cascading and ensuring feedback and issues are acted upon in a timely manner by the relevant teams
Act as an early warning contact for DOF’s and RM’s on larger business issues, engaging field teams on all projects, promotional activity and tasks

What I need to be successful:

Previous experience in managing projects or a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Enthusiastic, committed and proactive
Determination to complete work to the highest standard with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to follow processes and instructions and use common sense
Organised with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
Ability to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines
