The role of the Store planner is to develop building and internal plans that meet the required standards and specifications but also to be creative in developing solutions to site specific requirements that deliver the business objectives in the most economical and functional manner possible.
What will I be doing?
Development of all plans from site to merchandise plans for all projects and or maintenance as required of plans as required by the business
All plans developed meet the required regulatory code, ensuring code practices are up to date
All plans are developed in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure they deliver the needs and requirements from an Operational, commercial and customer need
Ensuring all Safety regulations are followed as part of the process and any proposal, but also that safety practices internal to the place of work and when onsite are always followed and any if any unsafe act or situation is observed that they are addressed at that point and resolved immediately
Develop and coordinate the planning, design and documentation required to meet the needs of any investment-based work
Establish site planning parameters and prepared preliminary and variations of schemes required to establish the most economical and effective plan possible.
Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet all respective needs or alternatives are developed in preparation for project sign off
Support the delivery of all Planning documentation relating to any investment works within the agreed timeframe and quality standards.
Ensure all plans are maintained inline in line with broader business process and standards.
Develop library of componentry required to deliver planning needs.
Prepare CAD perspectives, renderings and/or movies of proposed works
Review and feedback on any externally developed planning documentation for suitability, standards, compliance and accuracy
Ensure all works and proposals align with business model from a cost and return on investment or capital expense with any no compliance challenged accordingly to protect business interests.
What I need to be successful:
You will have Design, Building, Engineering or drafting qualification
Extensive experience in Design and Drafting
High standard Design & Documentation skills
Administration and organisational skills
High level interpersonal / communication skills
High attention to detail
Creative thinker / Problem solver
