In what is a brand new role for Homebase we are recruiting for a People Engagement and Capability Analyst to join our People, Culture and Business Development team.
The retail sector has changed more in the past 5 months than it has in the last 5 years and Homebase are determined to stay ahead of the curve. Our customers expectations have changed and we recognise that in the current retail landscape it’s no longer good enough to meet these expectations – we have to surpass them. And there’s no way we can do this without our FANTASTIC team members.
So this is where you come in…
We don’t want you to join us so you can sit at your desk and put some facts and figures on a spreadsheet: this is even more than a numbers role. We need you to use the data at your disposal to challenge established ideas and affect real change.
While reporting and analysis will be a part of your day to day role we need you to interpret this data and use it to influence key stakeholders and help drive through new initiatives and projects. The best way to ensure our customers receive the highest standard of service is to ensure that our team members come into work every day and LOVE what they do. So if you see something that can be improved, a process that can be simplified or a solution that can make our team members roles easier then we need you to tell us. You can make the difference. This is a hugely impactful role and one in which you will have the potential to influence every element of our people strategy and business culture.
Need to haves…
As mentioned this is a key, strategic role for the business so while we will of course train and support you throughout your career with us, there are a few essentials we need to cover to ensure you are able to hit the ground running from day one.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in HR or related subject
- 2+ years of experience as an HR Specialist / Change agent / Analyst within HR or Retail
- MS Excel Wizard, PowerPoint and Forms
- Ability to work with multiple sources of data
When joining us you will enjoy a range of benefits including:
- 24 days annual leave
- Store discounts up to 20%
- Company Pension & Life Assurance
- Access to our employee assistance helpline
- Flexible working available
And many more additional benefits, discounts and offers.
For the moment you will be working from home in this role, however this will eventually move to a more office based format with the option for flex across home, stores and DC locations.
