We see HR as a business-critical function. Our teams of specialists, experts in everything from benefits to employee relations, look after our most valuable asset – our people – and help make us the force we are in UK retail. One Finance department is much like another, right? Well, actually, it’s not. We see ours as different, mainly because it’s far more progressive than most and a fast-moving environment. Become part of the team, and you’ll find out how we support our team members to progress and succeed.


Our Property team looks after all our Homebase stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland, as well as our Store Support Centre in Milton Keynes. They handle many varied aspects of the property process – everything from rent negotiation to the acquisition of new sites. With a large estate across the country the scope and variety we can offer to those who join us is second-to-none.


Our Legal team’s main role is to manage legal risk across all aspects of our business. Their work is complex, challenging and always essential if we’re to achieve our goals while complying with regulations. The team are also key players for negotiating major contracts with suppliers and other commercial partners. In an environment of such fast-paced change, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in challenging, absorbing work that sets the benchmark in our sector.

Corporate Affairs

In the age of modern communications, the work of Corporate Affairs has assumed more and more importance within our business. Helping maintain a reputation we take great pride in, they’re also our representatives when dealing with a wide range of stakeholders – everyone from newspaper and TV journalists and government officials to investors and analysts. As we’re innovating at every turn, with new ideas and new ways of working, your work will be high-profile, and your development swift.


Quite simply, our Administrative team are the people who keep the wheels turning across our business. Supporting behind the scenes they offer a full spectrum of support, they deal with everything from organising meetings to arranging business travel and making sure our people are paid accurately and on time – and everything in between. They work closely with the other support teams such as Legal and HR. And, thanks to the sheer size and scope of our operation, you can rest assured that there’ll be lots of opportunities for growth and development in your career.
